Located in the heart of Egerton Park, Bexhill, Rother's Neurodivergent Hub is the home of Space for Yew and a welcoming community space designed specifically for neurodivergent children, young people, adults and their families.
The Hub has been transformed by Space for Yew CIC into an inclusive space where families can play, connect and access support in an environment that understands their needs. We are grateful for the support we have received from Rother District Council in helping us bring this vision to life.
A Space Designed with Neurodivergent Families in Mind
The Hub has been thoughtfully developed to provide calm, welcoming and predictable spaces that reduce barriers often experienced in traditional community settings.
Our facilities include:
A dedicated sensory room.
A creative studio for art and messy play
A welcoming group room for sessions, workshops and peer support.
A fully equipped kitchen.
Accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
A large enclosed outdoor space including - Allotment, Nature Play area, Sports area
Many of the children, young people and adults who use the Hub benefit from familiar environments and predictable routines. Our spaces have been designed to feel calm, accessible and adaptable, creating a place where people can feel safe, comfortable and welcome.
Bringing Support Together
Many neurodivergent families tell us that accessing support can mean travelling to multiple venues, adapting to unfamiliar environments and navigating fragmented services.
Rother's Neurodivergent Hub brings a range of services together under one roof, making it easier for families to access support while building relationships within their local community.
The Hub is home to Space for Yew CIC's own services, including:
Family Stay, Play and Learn sessions.
Art workshops
Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) provision.
Parent and carer groups.
Community events.
Nature based wellbeing activities.
We also welcome trusted organisations and professionals delivering services that support neurodivergent children, young people, adults and their families.
Hire the Hub
When our own sessions are not running, the Hub is available to hire for a wide range of activities.
Whether you're planning a children's birthday party, a friendly meet up, a therapy session, a support group, Forest School, respite provision, training, workshops or another community activity, we'd love to hear from you.
Our flexible indoor and outdoor spaces can be hired by families, community groups, charities, therapists, schools and other organisations looking for an inclusive and welcoming venue.
Affordable Community Hire
As a Community Interest Company, our aim is to keep the Hub affordable and accessible.
By offering low-cost venue hire, we hope to reduce barriers for families while supporting organisations and professionals to deliver high-quality services within the local community.
A Community Achievement
Rother's Neurodivergent Hub has been made possible through the generosity, encouragement and support of our local community.
We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers, local businesses, organisations, funders and individuals who have donated their time, skills, resources and funding to help transform the Hub into the welcoming space it is today. We are also grateful for the support we have received from Rother District Council in helping us bring this vision to life.
This Hub belongs to the community it serves and we are proud to continue working alongside others to ensure neurodivergent children, young people, adults and their families have a place where they feel welcome, supported and able to belong.
